Luisa Neubauer
Was wäre, wenn wir mutig sind?
Luisa Neubauer, the most well-known climate activist in the German-speaking world, presents a new tone in the climate crisis with “What if we are brave?”: a new beginning in the climate debate, a call to action with ambition, humor, and radical confidence.
“What if we are brave?” is an invitation to look crises in the eye and, at the same time, a plea for hope. Luisa Neubauer analyzes the power struggles behind the climate crisis and the political and economic interests that stand in the way of climate action. She shows that the climate crisis is not just a political issue, but a crisis of our entire civilization. She calls for a new way of thinking, a new way of acting, and a new
“What if we are brave?” is an invitation to look the crises in the eye and
at the same time a plea for hope. Luisa Neubauer analyzes the power struggles behind
the climate crisis, exposes the fossil fuel roots of our democracy, and shows what a
realistic utopia on our planet could look like.
The climate activist and author presents surprising scenarios, figures, and solutions
to the climate crisis, points out political contradictions, comments on current debates, and
classifies socio-political developments. It is about the crisis of the world and radical
confidence, it is about beauty, humor, hope, and pain
together.
During the multimedia evenings, excerpts from the newly published essay of hope
“What if we are brave” and from the climate atlas will be presented. Through alternating
readings, interactive moments, and projections, the climate activist will show on 12
evenings, for example, what has been made possible for climate protection under pressure from the climate movement in
recent years, what historical successes there are to celebrate,
and why humor is so important in the climate debate.
What has already been achieved but also destroyed, how must cities change in order to withstand
global warming? Where does the anti-climate aggression of the right wing come from?
How can we achieve even more, and where does hope come from in a world fraught with crisis?
“What if we were brave?” A multimedia evening full of activation, courageous
future scenarios, and a spirit of optimism.
